Noemí Perez, Law Student

Notes on Perseverance

I like being able to help the people in need and fight against the injustices that I see every day.

Hello! My name is Noemí and I live in Spain, in a small city in the north. All my life I have lived here. I truly love my little town, you can go anywhere by walking and the best part is that the sea is nearby.
TALENT & WORK
I studied law but I do not work as lawyer. Currently I am competing to be a judge, which involves a long and hard study process with several exams to pass.

What do you think is your biggest talent?
Perseverance and perseverance in what I do. Without it, I don't think I would be able to reach my goal of becoming a judge. On the other hand, in the society in which we currently live, I believe there are values that have been disregarded and I would like to contribute to creating a fairer world.

How do you incorporate your talent for work?
As I said before, I would like to be a fair judge and help overcome the discriminations and inequalities that are so evident in society today.
What do you like the most about your career?
I like being able to help the people in need and fight against the injustices that I see every day.

What was your childhood dream?
My childhood dream was to become a famous singer - I grew up listening to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. I still enjoy music a lot and I'm sure my neighbors hate me for it!

How do you spend your free time?
Along with my hard studies to be a judge, I also model for some brands. Photography is my hobby and I love it because it allows me to "disconnect" from my study time. I also love fashion and I enjoy creating new outfits - in fact, I would've loved to study fashion journalism and become a fashion magazine editor.

FASHION & STYLE
How would you describe your style?
Minimalist, classic and French inspired. I used to run away from prints and everything that was too striking, but in recent years two essential prints have come to my life: polka dots and vichy. I adore them. In my closet, there are plenty of neutrals, whites, beiges and camels tones. Blazers, shirts and dresses in neutral tones are the basics for me.

What is fashion to you?
As Coco Chanel said, “Fashion changes but style endures”. That's fashion for me - a reflection of your style and your personality and a great tool to develop your creativity.·

What is your go-to outfit?
It depends on the seasons for me. In the summer, I love wearing white, beige or pastel. In the winter, there's nothing better than black trousers, black heeled boots and a soft beige sweater.

What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own?
A white midi dress with polka-dot print and satin fabric. With that dress and some good stilettos, I feel like I could conquer the world.

What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
Pleated and midi skirts

Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
I find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest and from other girls that I follow on Instagram. But above all, I like to create and be faithful to my own style.
Who is your style icon?
Olivia Palermo and Kate Moss.

What is your most recent fashion purchase?
A lovely midi pastel yellow dress! You'll soon see it on my Instagram.

How do you organize your closet?
That is my big problem. Currently, I live with my parents so I don't have a big place to organize my clothes the way I would like. That's why I always have my basics placed so that I can access them easily and organized them by dark and light tones.
Where are some of your favorite places to shop?
Massimo Dutti, Mango, and for shoes (which are other of my obsessions) Mint&Rose and Castañer.

What is one fashion trend prediction that you foresee for 2019?
Well, for my happiness I can officially talk about the return of the pearls! I adore them! Equally, silk skirts and drapes return. Another trend that I see a lot is the tie-dye print but I personally don´t like that one too much.
